A visit to MiDAS Observatory in Qixingtan Beach (Hualien County)

We visited MiDAS (Milun Fault Drilling and All-inclusive Sensing project) observatory in Hualien to learn about the distributed acoustic sensing.

Qixingtan Beach

Qixingtan Beach is the beautiful arc-shaped coast with 15 km long. We can observe the surface displacement by the Milun Fault. MiDAS observatory is located in front of the Qixingtan Beach.
